Noah Wilson is a responsible, school oriented young man. He is well spoken and follows orders, which has led many to label him a "goody two-shoes." He strives to constantly do his best in order to receive the approval of others around him. This behavior is secretly rooted in the desire to be acknowledged by his father, Shermy, as although Shermy loves his children, he is incapable of being there for them emotionally due to his mental illness. Noah has a tendency to be prideful and even "stuck up" to those who he views as "below him," as well as being over accommodating to the people he seeks the validation of. This is something many of his "friends," like Peyton White like to take advantage of. Noah developed his strong sense of responsibility because of the responsibility of raising his younger sister, Riley that was thrust upon him at a young age. Noah's responsibility and hard working attitude awarded him the position of Head of Student Council, something he loves to constantly boast about.

She has a preference for grunge music. She plays multiple instruments, including the drums, guitar and bass. Riley is a rebellious prankster, this "lashing out" being mostly attributed to her desire to be as recognized as her brother. Riley constantly feels her accomplishments are undermined. Her personality is calm, able to maintain a nonchalance even in the most challenging of circumstances. Riley is well principled, having a strong sense of justice and always standing up for what's right.

The father to the previous, Noah and Riley Wilson. Shermy could very aptly be described as neurotic. Shermy is quite the character, a dramatic short, coffee addicted insomniac, prone to anxiety attacks. Shermy struggles with a myriad of different mental conditions due to his close encounters with the unknown. Shermy is distrusting of the outside world and chooses to self isolate. Shermy struggles with paranoia, PTSD and addiction. His many afflictions can be traced back to the loss of his wife, Ruth Wilson. After her death, Shermy fell apart. Shermy has a very unhealthy obsession with her, even hoarding many of her items in a most appropriately described "shrine" in the family home's locked basement. Shermy and his wife met as children and spent the majority of their lives together, being entirely reliant making it difficult for Shermy to move forward. His character arc throughout the show will mostly regard his grief, fear and addiction and overcoming them in a healthy manner. Shermy is also a computer scientist, bringing in income through repairing systems. Shermy enjoys reading and stress relieving activities like cooking and tending to the home.

Anthony Samson is known to be combative, struggling to navigate social settings, as well as a toxic homelife. He comes across as incredibly aggressive due to his defensiveness as a result of his home environment. He has learned through his mother's boyfriend abusive behavior that violence and aggression are the way to earn the respect of your peers. His mother's boyfriend has instilled many toxic ways of thinking into his head, Anthony believing showing vulnerability is a sign of weakness. This proves most problematic as he struggles to maintain control of his emotions as a symptom of his untreated and undiagnosed bipolar disorder. He is perpetually bullied by his peers, provoking him to have angry outbursts which end in tears. All Anthony desires is to be seen as tough, leading him to present a defensive personality, when in reality Anthony's true personality is a hyper, awkward boy who just wants people to laugh. Throughout the show, Anthony will be forced to confront and come to terms with his homosexaulity and his confusing feelings regarding his blossoming friendship with Noah.
